Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted with tricolour-waving and slogans of ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ by NDA MPs as he entered the venue of the ruling coalition’s weekly parliamentary party meeting at the Parliament House complex on Tuesday. The meeting, ‘Mangal Milan’, was attended by ministers, NDA leaders, and MPs belonging to the coalition’s constituent parties.
As soon as the Prime Minister entered the GMC Balayogi Auditorium at the Parliament Library, the ministers and MPs greeted him by waving the national flag and raising slogans. The meeting was attended by prominent leaders, including BJP president Nitin Nabin, Union ministers Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, Nitin Gadkari, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and S. Jaishankar, among others.
Ministers from NDA parties, such as H.D. Kumaraswamy from JD-S, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu from TDP, Ramdas Bandu Athawale from RPI-A, Praful Patel from NCP, and Upendra Kushwaha from RLM, also attended the meeting. The NDA parliamentary meeting is held every Tuesday when the Parliament is in session.
The Monsoon Session of Parliament, which began on July 20, is set to conclude on August 13. The session has seen repeated adjournments and virtually no business, except for the debate on two Bills, including The Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, which was passed by Parliament. The opposition parties have been protesting over various issues, including the NEET paper leak and alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
