Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding and modernising Arunachal Pradesh’s power network. Mein, who oversees the Power and Hydropower portfolios, highlighted the progress made under the comprehensive scheme. According to Mein, 90 out of 239 project elements have been successfully commissioned, marking a significant milestone in the state’s power development.
The recent charging of two 33 kv transmission lines and a substation has been instrumental in achieving this goal. The deputy chief minister specifically mentioned the successful charging of the 33 kv Khonsa-Khonsa line, 33 kV Basar-Tirbin line, and 33 kV Basar substation, describing it as a crucial step towards improving electricity transmission and distribution across the state. Mein attributed the achievement to the tireless efforts of engineers, executing agencies, and the Power Department.
He acknowledged their hard work and dedication to the project. The government remains focused on ensuring a dependable electricity supply to people across Arunachal Pradesh, Mein emphasized, underscoring the administration’s commitment to providing essential services to its citizens.
