Trump Reveals Plan for Iran if Assassinated

US President Donald Trump has revealed that he has left instructions for his advisers to take drastic action if he is assassinated by Iran. In an interview with The New York Post, Trump stated that if anything happens to him, he wants the US military to ‘literally bomb them at levels that they’ve never seen before.’

This is not the first time Trump has made such a threat. In February 2025, while signing an executive order threatening ‘maximum pressure’ against the Iranian regime, Trump said that if he is killed, the country ‘would be obliterated.’ He reiterated this stance, saying ‘I’ve left instructions if they do it, they get obliterated, there won’t be anything left.’

Trump’s comments come after he repeatedly claimed that he is at the top of Iran’s kill list. He even told reporters that they could be on a ‘dangerous flight’ back home after a ceasefire in the months-long war collapsed. Trump also swatted away reports that Israel identified a fresh Iranian plot to kill him, saying ‘Israel came up with nothing.’

Iran has openly vowed to retaliate against Trump for a lethal drone strike in 2020 that killed Qassem Soleimani, commander of the elite Quds Force with Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps. Calls for Trump’s death have accelerated with the monthslong US-Israel war in Iran that has killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, among other top Iranian officials.

US intelligence officials have reportedly collected evidence showing Tehran was seeking ways to kill Trump as early as 2024. Trump has also claimed that there were ‘big threats on my life by Iran’ in September 2024. However, Iranian officials have denied any plots against Trump, with President Masoud Pezeshkian stressing that Iran ‘never attempted’ to kill Trump and ‘never will.’

Despite these denials, Trump has continued to threaten to destroy the entire country, saying that Iran will be ‘blown off the face of the earth’ and ‘a whole civilization will die’ if ceasefire negotiations fall apart and attacks on ships through the Strait of Hormuz continue.
