A 23‑year‑old woman was accused of posing as a substitute teacher at Rufus King International High School in Wisconsin on September 24. She reportedly entered the school under false pretenses and spent nearly three classroom periods insulting and harassing students before being removed by authorities.
Students reported that the woman used profanity, racial slurs, sexually derogatory remarks, and asked inappropriate questions. She allegedly called a student “fat boy,” asked another if she wanted to be a stripper or hooker, and told two white students that they were “the type of people to start school shootings.” She also inquired about vaping or marijuana use, calling the class “fucking lame and annoying.”
The principal, Doreen Badillo, discovered the situation after eight teachers called in sick and only seven substitutes were available. Police escorted the woman out of the school. When questioned, she said she had gone to her old high school because she was bored, that she hates kids, and wanted to “f*** around.”
Jones was taken into custody on Thursday and faces six felony charges, including impersonating a public employee and exposing minors to harmful language, with a potential maximum sentence of 21 years. Her defense cites bipolar disorder and medication issues. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 20, and the district is conducting its own investigation.
