A Maryland travel company has been accused of abruptly ending a luxury trip for more than 70 women in France, leaving many stranded and still waiting for refunds. The company, Younique Ventures, is owned by Kendra and Kelvin Brown and is based in Charles County.
In July, the group participated in the “Goddess Refresh Experience,” a women’s retreat that included stops in the South of France. Travelers say the itinerary was cut short by four days after a flight disruption, and the Brown couple told the group that the trip would end there. The remaining accommodations were cancelled, forcing participants to arrange their own return flights or stay in France at their own expense.
The company promised refunds for the cancelled portions of the trip and reimbursement for unexpected costs within 60 days, a deadline that has now passed. Younique Ventures explained that a last‑minute aircraft change left too few seats for the group, and that its contract did not require refunds but it chose to offer them. Chargebacks, it said, have delayed the issuance of refunds.
Another customer, who paid nearly $30,000 for an Australia and Fiji trip scheduled for October 18, filed a police report after the company failed to provide flight or hotel confirmations and stopped all communication. The Charles County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it is investigating a possible fraud allegation. The company said it will keep affected travelers informed and provide an update by Friday, October 2.
