District Youth Officer of Mera Yuva Bharat Kohima, working with the Kohima District Administration, has issued operational instructions for the student registration drive of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027. The drive leads to the Grand National Dialogue that will be held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from January 10 to 12, 2027.
The registration drive is aimed at youth aged 15 to 29 years as of August 17, 2026. Applicants can register through the single‑window dashboard at mybharat.gov.in. The first stage, the Viksit Bharat Quiz, is already live and will accept entries until September 30, 2026. Nagaland, part of the North East Frontier Region (Purvodaya Cluster) together with Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Sikkim and Tripura, will field participants from the Kohima district under the theme “Act East, Cultural Leadership & Enhancing Connectivity.” The theme focuses on actionable frameworks that position the North East as India’s gateway to Southeast Asia while enhancing regional connectivity and leveraging heritage assets.
The competition will progress through multiple stages: the digital quiz, a thematic essay challenge, district‑level presentations, and the State VBYLD scheduled between November 17 and December 7, 2026. Winners at the district level will advance to represent Nagaland at the national dialogue.
Additional tracks include the Viksit Bharat Challenge and cultural competitions in folk dance, folk song, painting, poetry and nukkad natak. Innovation‑based challenges such as Design for Bharat, Hack for Social Cause and the Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge are supported by institutions including SPA Delhi, IIT Bombay and IIT Kanpur. From 2027 onward, the Youth Parliament will be fully integrated to promote civic engagement. To speed up registration, the district office has activated a Scan‑to‑Register protocol using the official VBYLD 2027 QR code.
