The Bharatiya Janata Party announced on Wednesday that it will launch a month‑long campaign titled “Seva Sankalp” to coincide with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17, marking 25 years of his public service.
During a press conference at the party headquarters in New Delhi, BJP chief Nitin Nabin said the birthday would be observed as “Seva Diwas” and that a series of programmes would run from September 17 to October 17 to highlight Modi’s journey of service and dedication and his efforts to bring development and welfare schemes to the last person.
Nabin said the campaign would showcase the changes brought to people’s lives during Modi’s 25 years in public life, claiming that 25 crore families have been lifted out of poverty and that India has moved from a “fragile five” to a fast‑growing economy, with its global stature and respect rising under his leadership.
He added that Modi has given hope to the country’s youth and shifted the focus to women‑led development, and that the BJP will carry the message of Modi’s public service to every person.
