New Delhi experienced a relatively warm morning on Sunday with a minimum temperature of 25.9 degrees Celsius. The city is expected to witness light rain, according to the weather office. On Saturday night and early Sunday morning, the city received a minimal 1 mm of rainfall between 8.30 pm and 8.30 am.
The weather forecast suggests that the maximum temperature is likely to reach around 36 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the relative humidity was recorded at 89 per cent at 8.30 am, indicating a humid day ahead. In terms of air quality, the city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) reading stood at 105 at 9 am, categorizing the air quality as ‘moderate’.
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) defines the AQI categories as follows: ‘good’ (0-50), ‘satisfactory’ (51-100), ‘moderate’ (101-200), ‘poor’ (201-300), ‘very poor’ (301-400), and ‘severe’ (401-500).
