A devastating house fire in south Delhi’s Lodhi Colony has claimed the lives of three people, including a woman and her two daughters. The tragedy occurred on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, when a fire broke out in a residential building in the area. According to the Delhi Fire Services (DFS), a call was received at 10:21 a.m. reporting the fire at a house opposite Chawla Sweets in B.K.
Dutt Colony, under the Lodhi Road police station limits. Firefighters responded promptly, dispatching one water tender, one water bowser, and one breathing apparatus tender to the scene. The blaze had engulfed a house on the third floor of the building, where the bodies of the woman and her two daughters were found by firefighters.
The fire was eventually brought under control at 11:10 a.m., with cooling operations continuing to prevent any rekindling of the flames. The identities of the deceased have not yet been ascertained, and the cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
