The Namsai District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) held its first quarter meeting at the deputy commissioner’s office on Thursday, reviewing the progress and status of various developmental and welfare schemes across the district.
MLA Chow Zingnu Namchoom chaired the meeting, stressing the need for greater inter-departmental coordination and urging all departments to maintain transparency and accountability in the execution of developmental activities. He emphasized that the benefits of government schemes must reach the intended beneficiaries in a timely manner.
Deputy Commissioner CR Khampa highlighted the key achievements and challenges faced by various departments, calling for active cooperation among all stakeholders to strengthen monitoring mechanisms and improve service delivery across the district.
The district planning officer outlined the objectives of the meeting and highlighted the importance of periodic reviews to ensure effective implementation of government programmes and schemes. Discussions focused on effective monitoring, timely execution of projects, and addressing issues related to service delivery and public welfare.
The members deliberated on various sectoral issues and resolved to work collectively towards accelerating developmental initiatives and ensuring effective implementation of government welfare programmes in the district.
The meeting was attended by Zilla Parishad Chairperson Chow Sujana Namchoom, ZPMs, and government officials.
