N.A. Haris, the Bangalore Development Authority Chairman and MLA for Shantinagar, recently visited the dargah of Hazrat Khaja Bandanawaz in Kalaburagi to offer prayers.
At the shrine, Haris met the dargah’s Sajjada Nashin, Hazrat Hafiz Syed Mohammed Ali Al‑Hussaini, and performed the Gul‑e‑Aqeedat at the Gumbad‑e‑Mubarak before reciting dua. The Sajjada Nashin presented tabarrukat to Haris, as well as to Syed Mustafa Al‑Hussaini and MLC Bilkees Bano.
The Sajjada Nashin then guided Haris through the dargah’s various sections, explaining the historic architecture, design elements, and the site’s cultural significance.
Later, Haris visited the Syed Muhammad Gesu Daraz Research Academy, where the complete collection of the Shahbaz Book—research papers presented annually during the Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Khaja Bandanawaz—was inaugurated. The collection, published from 1960 to 2026, compiles papers presented at yearly seminars and subsequently released in book form. The event was attended by former Minister Rahim Khan, KUDA Chairman Mazhar Alam Khan, KMP Deputy Mayor Khusro Jahagirdar, KPCC member Faraz‑ul‑Islam, Ilyas Seth Bhagwan, Syed Murtaza Hussaini, Syed Aqib Hussaini, Syed Haider Pasha, and several Congress leaders and workers.
