Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh – Two police officers were suspended after a departmental inquiry concluded they had engaged in indiscipline, negligence and misconduct during a physical altercation at a local police station.
The Superintendent of Police, Sukirti Madhav, ordered the suspension of Sub‑Inspector Satyapal and Constable Jaswant late Sunday evening. The decision followed an inquiry that found both personnel guilty of the charges.
Officials said the officers had been involved in a dispute over a matter that had escalated over several days. The argument culminated in a fight on September 10 at the station, prompting the inquiry.
Madhav told reporters that strict action would be taken against any police officers who misbehave or violate rules while on duty, and that future incidents would be dealt with accordingly.
