Ranchi, September 14 – At a Hindi Diwas event in Ranchi, Jharkhand’s Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha Department Secretary Pravin Toppo highlighted the role of plain Hindi and a transparent system in promoting good governance. He said that when government communication is in a language the public understands, welfare schemes reach people more effectively.
Toppo noted that Hindi Diwas, observed annually on the anniversary of the Constituent Assembly’s decision to adopt Hindi as an official language in 1949, serves as a reminder of the importance of clear communication. He urged officials to simplify language and procedures, stating that the true identity of good governance lies in simple Hindi, easy procedures, and transparency.
He added that technology can enhance transparency, making every decision and process clear and accountable. ‘Online services, time‑bound disposal and grievance monitoring strengthen public trust,’ Toppo said.
Addressing officers and employees, Toppo urged them to adopt simple language and a clear working style, keeping public interest paramount so that the administration can get closer to people.
