On Thursday, the Karnataka government unveiled a range of initiatives to celebrate Chief Minister D K Shivakumar’s 100 days in office. The launches included the Seva One digital citizen services platform, the Chief Minister Raitha Chaitanya scheme, the BMTC 2.0 mobile application, and a program to distribute five lakh housing sites. The day also saw the introduction of the One Karnataka Mobility App—KSRTC Avatara 2.0—alongside a Retrofit Emission Control Device (RECD) initiative for diesel vehicles and the Sainik Samman scheme.
Seva One, positioned as the state’s “One Government, One Digital” platform, aims to give citizens a single digital interface to access government services and communicate their needs.
The Chief Minister Raitha Chaitanya scheme seeks to make agriculture more profitable by providing timely, location‑specific farm advice. It was first rolled out in Mandya, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Hassan and Shivamogga, with plans to expand it to all districts of the state.
The BMTC 2.0 mobile app will let commuters track buses in real time, view arrival times and routes, purchase tickets digitally, and use a wallet feature. It will also offer a multimodal journey planner and integrated ticketing for BMTC and Namma Metro, along with daily, weekly and monthly passes. Meanwhile, KSRTC Avatara 2.0 will enable booking of buses operated by all four state transport corporations via the app or WhatsApp, and will provide KSRTC and KSTDC tour packages and digital monthly passes.
In addition, the government announced a scheme to allocate five lakh housing sites to people who lack homes, especially in rural areas, to help beneficiaries secure sites and live with dignity. The administration described these measures as part of its focus on equal opportunity and inclusive development, underscoring its commitment to Karnataka’s progress.
