In Amaravati on September 11, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu addressed the eighth collectors conference and urged officials to adopt a people‑friendly approach, emphasizing speed and accountability in delivering results. He called for a blend of technology and human touch to win public confidence.
Naidu highlighted that the government had faced several challenges over the past 27 months and had implemented changes across various systems. He underscored the state’s priorities of welfare, development and good governance, noting that effective law and order is essential for delivering on those goals.
The CM praised the Rayalaseema Rising initiative and the fresh momentum for development in North Andhra following the inauguration of the Bhogapuram airport. He also cited the completion of the Veligonda project, which has opened new avenues for development in Prakasam district, and the Seed Access Road that will improve connectivity for Amaravati, positioning it as a better‑planned and more liveable city.
Economic indicators were also discussed. The growth rate at current prices was estimated at 13.44 percent, GST collections grew by 18 percent, and the state’s GSDP growth estimates surpassed the national average. Naidu highlighted innovative initiatives such as a drone project in Alluri Sitarama Raju district, sports schools in Anantapur, the Swarna Bhavitha school initiative in Bapatla, and digital learning projects in Chittoor. He directed collectors to accelerate land allotments for industries with approvals already in place, stressing that industry, services and agriculture would drive GSDP growth.
Addressing environmental concerns, the CM called for a comprehensive action plan to address the severe impact of El Niño, prioritizing drinking water, livestock water and fodder. He reiterated the importance of completing 36 priority irrigation projects within stipulated deadlines. In matters of law and order, he instructed police to remain people‑friendly yet firm, and called for firm action against those obstructing development. Finally, he urged officials to compile a welfare calendar, raise awareness of scheme implementation dates, and ensure uninterrupted welfare delivery for the poor, while also supporting the transformation of five lakh women into entrepreneurs.
