Streamer refuses to remove footage of Amazon plane crash

On Sunday, an Amazon Prime Air cargo plane overran a runway and crashed at Miami International Airport, killing five people in a van on the ground and injuring three others. The incident was under investigation.

Within hours, Kick streamers ChickenAndy (27) and BinxBasilisk (33) arrived at the site. They posed in front of the damaged aircraft, filmed the scene, and streamed to 39,200 followers. They also posted a joint Instagram photo captioned “A plane crashed today” to their combined audience.

The livestream and photos quickly attracted criticism. Aviation commentator Jack Sweeney and other users condemned the streamers for treating a tragedy as a “tourist attraction.” Comments demanded that police and the National Transportation Safety Board investigate the content.

In an interview, ChickenAndy said he was unaware of the fatalities when he began filming and would not remove the footage. He claimed he had not filmed any bodies and that he would sue Amazon Airlines for defamation, citing a loss of income and followers. He also said a fire‑department officer warned them not to approach the wreckage but that they complied.

The five victims were identified as Rolando Aleman Leon, 55; Yoel Rodriguez Naranjo, 53; Julio C. Pineda, 75; Carlos Acosta Fajardo, 53; and Javierkys Reyes Quevedo, 47. BinxBasilisk did not respond to a request for comment.
