Natalie Harp, 35, a special assistant to former President Donald Trump, was named one of Washingtonian magazine’s 2026 “Most Powerful Women in Washington” list, ranking her above First Lady Melania Trump, second lady Usha Vance and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. The biennial list highlighted 300 women across politics, business, media and other fields.
Harp’s duties include printing campaign materials – earning her the nickname “human printer” – and managing Trump’s Truth Social account. She has attracted scrutiny for her close proximity to the president, including a reported letter in which she wrote, “You are all that matters to me.” Washingtonian noted her presence on Trump’s clandestine flight out of Turkey in July.
The inclusion sparked comment on Washingtonian’s Instagram. Some users questioned her credentials, describing her as a “lawyer, CEO, Ivy League” and noting her full‑time job is printing papers. Others praised the diversity of the list, urging respect for women across the political spectrum.
Washingtonian acknowledged that the list could be divisive, stating it does not favor one side but simply highlights women wielding power. The White House has defended Harp, with a spokesperson saying she is a beloved official and that “Fake News Media will never understand what it’s like to be as trusted and admired as her.”
