The State government has released an additional ₹2,000 crore to clear pending dues to employees, particularly those who have retired from service. This move follows the assurance given by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy-led government to release ₹6,000 crore within 100 days to settle employee dues.
With this release, the government has fulfilled its promise, having already released ₹2,000 crore last month and leaving a balance of ₹2,000 crore. Finance Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania released the funds on the instructions of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, despite the state’s financial constraints. According to officials, all pending General Provident Fund (GPF) dues of retired employees and Zilla Parishad teachers have been cleared, leaving no pending balances in their accounts.
Furthermore, commutation dues of retired employees up to September 2025 have been fully settled. The government has also cleared all pending bills below ₹10,000, issuing over five lakh tokens, with payments being processed.
